Ideal Customer Service Representative will have experience in the transportation/ exporting – importing industry.
Main responsibilities include, schedules deliveries, trace loads and responds to problems that arise during the day regarding pick-ups or deliveries. The CSR communicates with supervisors, warehouse co-workers, office teammates, truck drivers, and customers on their freight in regard to delays or status updates.
· Perform prompt and complete data entry, Microsoft Excel required.
· Enter accurate customer orders in computer system.
· Monitor on-time performance for driver delivery and pick-up.
· Prepare tracking reports.
· Develop knowledge base of all customers.
· Develop relationships of all customers.
· Understand and abide by various customer requirements.
· Resolve customer problems promptly and efficiently.
· Understand the operations and rules of the various rail carriers and piers.
· Communicate with Dispatchers to avoid any problems with loads or transports and resolve any issues that may occur.
· Trace and monitor existing loads in the system to prevent problems from occurring.
Requirements:
Experience in transportation or import/export business (preferred)
Excellent communication abilities both verbal and written.
Excellent Computer skills
Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
Ability to work long hours and weekends as needed.
